Light in sport button

Hello JDB9,
Where is your sport button? Aston keep moving the damn things, is yours under the radio? Or under your elbow. If its the elbow, it's not such a bad thing to take apart, if it's under the radio, then Im afraid you have to take off the ski consol to access the top screws and the complete centre tunnel for the bottom screws. I've done it a few time and it only take a few minutes, the problem is, if you haven't done it before it can be a bit trumatic.

As Maverick says, that's easy to get to...
Pop off the panel which sits between the rear seats, revealing an torx head screw. Remove, then slide the arm rest panel back about 10mm and lift off. Remove the two screws which hold down the main centre console. Slide back a few mm the lever upwards. You now have access to the switches.
However, note its not a bulb in the switch it's a soldered chip
LED. If you do not have much electronics experience, you may be better sourcing a replacement switch off eBay (about £20).

The LED's are very reliable, so I am surprised that it's going wrong. When you take it apart, you might find that the connection is lose, but try both ends of the wire for a lose connection. eBay is bril for stuff, but I have found, to my own costs, that some times its cheaper to go to Aston themselves. Also you have to wait to find one on eBay.
Check the connectors first, if its the button, phone Aston first.

thanks all I will take a look tomorrow.
It is the backlight to the button (not the small rectangular orange LED) and if i push it the light goes on so assume a loose connection.
I saw that another poster changed his D button for a blue LED to match the rest of the panel (red being warning in his view) so if I take the sport button to bits I will see how possible this is!
