Manual gearbox V8VS ?

Happened to be in Cardiff today and popped into the dealership where my friendly salesman mentioned that a manual V8VS will be available this year. Now that will be a car to get my juices flowing!

Is this news ? or am I just behind the curve again?

So is it the old 6 speed box or the new 7 speed as per ASM2? If its 7 speed how do you not select the wrong gear on 3rd/5th/7th?

What's the point then? When I drove the S the highlight is the 7 speed box. Plus being able to reverse without it smelling.
Still if people buy them who am I to criticise.

I agree totally but then it was one reason why I bought an S to get ASM2 (only model with it fitted then)
Other side of the coin is I guess some would like the S with a manual box

the differences between S and non-S are getting so marginal, it's a little daft. Not many non-S cars that don't get close (at list price) to the S, once you add things like exterior CF pack, sat nav, etc

Apart from suspension, what differences are there now between the two that aren't either minor cosmetic details, or official factory options that are standard on the S but cost options on the non-S ?

mind you, IF there is to be a revision/overhaul/replacement of vantage soon, it won't really matter I suppose !

The MY12.25 brought the base car (with no options) too close to the S for my liking (S brakes, steering, tyres & wheel width), now the S is simply an option package on the std car rather than a distinct model.
S suspension is simply the sport pack AFAIK
Other than internal cosmetic trims, the Sport button (taken from V12V parts bin) & airboxes for 10 BHP (taken from N400 parts bin) that is it
