How do you look after your Ceramic Brakes?

Good evening everyone.
My father recently upgraded his DB9V to a Virage V which means I now will clean a car with ceramic brakes.
I have asked around, so have been warned not to use a chemical wheel cleaner, even if it is PH neutral.
I have also be warned with leaving standing water on the discs when it is garaged after use.
This leaves me with the option to simply wash the wheels with my usual shampoo, and pre-wash snow foam.
With many PHers owning Astons (and other brands) with ceramics and some used daily in all weathers, I would like to know how to look after these discs properly.
While Dad's car won't be used regularly, his DB9 was used year round whenever the weather was sunny. It didn't bother him about slightly wet roads and the car would often be garaged when dirty.
It would also be put away after I had washed it, sometimes not being used for a couple of weeks, so slight surface rust on the discs would be usual.
With the DB9, there was no issue, but when I wash the Virage, should I pay particular attention to properly drying the brake discs after cleaning?
Similarly, if the car has been out when the roads are wet, need I ensure the discs are dried when the car returns (obviously once the car has cooled
).
Finally, regarding the acutal cleaning, would my aforementioned idea of snow foam and shampoo be enough, considering no dust would be created?
Any advice would be most welcome!
