FIRST REAL CLEAN THIS YEAR

Decided today to give the car a real thorough clean.... Oh and its 1st wax this year!!



snow foam is amazing......





And a huge thanks to tim at trinity for sorting out my wheels.... They look as good as new!!!

Plan to do same today, wash, clay...three coats of Natty's wax, feed the leather, ready for another year, btw, what have you had done to your Grill, looks great.

The grill, bonnet vents are all painted satin black, the side strakes and window suurounds have been wrapped in matt black, Wheels are 20" in matt black & lowered 20mm all round...

I had to have the wheels repainted recentley as a car valeter ruined them by using an acid based wheel cleaner that took the wheels to a matt mottly grey colour... Was fuming... A friend of mine wanted my car at his wedding and I didnt have time to clean it, so used a mobile valeter who I didnt know as my usual guy wasnt available...

Also whilst the car was in at Trinity Tim refurbished the wiper blade arms, powder coated them and also powder coated the engine struts in black, they look great...

Hey Luna, have thought about it many times but really like the natural shape of the car... sort of bulges out at the front and rear, the sills would take away that shape... I havnt ruled them out though....

I do like this... I am in deep thoughts wether to go for it or not.. I love the racing Aston look...

Yes, remarkable, three consecutive days of sunshine. It certainly makes Aston cleaning more worthwhile.

I am pleased to see that your illegal front number plate has gone.
Wait a minute, it's been replaced by an illegal, no front number plate.

I wish I was as brave as you. The front of the car looks so much better.

Mmmm... Not convinced.... I think I prefer the cleaner lines of the standard bonnet....

Now tell me about Snow Foam....... I need to buy one, what should I go for and what sort of shampoo gives you that foam....

Hi Jon, Just do it.... Take it off but keep it in the boot.

I went out for dinner a while ago and as I do I just park where I like, when I got back to the car a policeman had given me a ticket for parking in a taxi bay.. Now he must have looked at the front of the car for the reg number, saw no plate and checked the rear.. No ticket for a missing front plate...

I would also point out that this was at 8pm in Wokingham town centre and the taxi rank was empty... I never did pay the ticket and have never heard anything since

Might suit Johnny 550 if the twin throttle intake will clear it?

Snow foam is a concentrate of shampoo, its comes out like thick marshmallow and makes cleaning the car much fun... I would recommend MAGIFOAM, if you have a decent Karcher jet wash you can buy the foam bottle on ebay, again, would recommend no less than a 1 Ltr bottle.

I leave it on for about 10 minutes to drag off all the loose dirt before it gets the 2 bucket hand wash treatment...

Another little trick... after rinsing off, i use my petrol Stihl leaf blower to get all the water off the car and out of all the areas where the water sits, like door handles, wiper arms, fron grill, wheels etc... done in no time at all.. my neighbours and passers by must think Im a bit mad LOL

Don't buy a karcher
We just bought a higher pressure and flow Nilfisk with a chassis nozzle for £120 less than the same Karcher
Oh and they are more reliable

It's the Vantage Collection one I think. They have them in fibreglass or Carbon fibre, budget dependent.
