My possessed wing mirror

I have folding mirrors on my 08 V8Vantage. Every so often (about half the time) I unlock the car, when they unfold the near-side mirror glass starts moving of its own accord until it points to the sky, whereupon it keeps clicking as it has reached its limit. I therefore have to adjust it back down again. It doesn't happen all the time, and I've tried memorising the correct position (with the seat memory) in case the problem lies there. But to no avail.

Anyone else had this? Or any suggestions how to fix. Is there a wing mirror learn/reset procedure (as there is for the windows)?

Had the same issue, but only when using different keys, i .e. locking with main key (ECU) and unlocking with spare key. So I solved the problem by only using the ECU.

I had a similar problem with mine. The mirrors would randomly fold in and out. Had to go to the dealer to have some magic box within the drivers doors reset.
