Do Aston drivers wave to each other ??

Just wondered what is the done thing. Do you flash and/or wave to each other as you pass like they do in the classic world. It would be nice to think there is a bit of acknowledgment with enthusiasts.

I do.
Most other owners I flash/wave to return the gesture. Some don't. Usually the lads who have exactly the same car/colour etc and have their Mrs in the passenger seat...
"Damn can't let the Mrs see ANOTHER one...!"

Well all on PH seem to. Not sure everyone does. Give it a go, you will get one of two reactions Seems to also be happening in my new RR

New Range Rover is fantastic what a perfect combination of cars you have. Im driving an Audi at the moment not sure anyone will want to wave to me in that!!! I have decided when i get my car i will be a waver.

Waves from Aston Martin drivers, and sometimes thumbs-up from pedestrians.

It's great, and no extra charge on the AM Option List either.

Then I saw Range Rover...



In my Aston I get waves, thumbs, "tosser" , kisses and all sorts!
In my work vans (combi, transit, LDV, vivaro whichever) I don't get any waves, no thumbs, usually middle fingers
And people shouting "fking dids!" Or "we ain't go no steel!"....


Seriously! The vans have FENCING on them! Email addresses, LANDLINES, LOCAL AUTHORITY APPROVED...

I try but only get the odd wave or a flash (ooh er) in the aston. Nothing compared to the the levels of TVR/Lotus worlds where it would be very unusual not to.

Been talked about on here a few times. It seems people who enjoy Astons for the sake of their Astoness wave to other owners and people who bought them as a mode of nice A to B transport and didn't want a Porsche perhaps don't bother so much.

I suppose of you haven't come from a (original) Mini, Land Rover (Defender or older), TVR, Lotus, Triumph etc background then it might not make sense to wave!

I always do , get about 1 wave in 10 back - but I do live in London

Agree with Lewis. But my problem is that if I meet an Aston coming the other way on a country road they are normally passed you before I have time to react so they probably never see my wave anyway!

I do when I'm in mine and usually get a response, though having the roof down makes waving a lot more visible

ETA Actually just remembered I had a guy in a sty old car shout and tell ME I was a fking wker at a junction once - Just because I didnt indicate which way i was going

Only cos they haven't figured out how to charge for it yet - expect to see it on the "required options" at some point

I don't get waves returned in London, have pretty much stopped unless it's another N400. There are a lot of Astons here though.
