OK, so I test drove a Vantage V8, S and V12 (mental), and have decided on a nearly new S. I really like Hammerhead, but there's also Tungsten and darker Meteorite in the mix. Anyone got any ideas or comments other than buy the one you like the best, based on the best spec and what's available? I realise it's totally subjective and personal, but anyone got any input? I live abroad where there's no AM dealers and only spend a few weeks a year in the UK at present, so can't really check them out in the flesh that often. Just posting this on the off chance somebody gives me a couple of pointers.......thanks in Advance!

shout Yeti......remember the new, improved, more tolerant you when you offer guidance on colours!

Tungsten for me, but then again I would say that.

Went from an Onyx Black DB9 Volante to a Meteorite Grey Volante 3 weeks ago.

Feel the black was a much more aggressive looking colour than the Grey which non Aston people ssem to love far more, but in all honesty will go back to a Black one next change.

Saying that, you can hide a load more marks and nicks on the Meteorite and it does not show up the swirls anything like a Black one.( See Paddy for more info)

In reality you will need to look at a car in the flesh (which I didnt)and make the plunge off your own back.

Good luck and whatever you buy I am sure you will love it...but get the V12 Vantage if you have the choice of the boy racer Vantages smile

AFAIK Hammerhead was only put on the V12V
Quantum is nice, there's a few others like titanium and lightning silver
Have a look at the photo sticky thread

Thanks Bins smile

Are grey, grey or grey really the only options? Of the three, I'd do Hammerhead I guess.

All black leather? frown

Phil - colour isn't really that important - go for the best spec'd, most attractive example you can find. smile

Thanks guys, there was a new S in Hammerhead in the showroom. I guess the greys won't date as much as some of the less boring colours. Everything will be completely boringly black with extra black inside too. Haven't completely given up on the lunatic V12, but I loved the flappy gearbox of the S..........and the car just felt 'right'.

Its a purely subjective question, I went for Meteorite with red callipers adds a splash of colour. I love Meteorite, it really changes with the light and time of the day. smile

If it wasn't that important, I'd have found a 4.7 by now.smile

From what I've seen, Tungsten is my fave silver.
But the S was launched in cobalt blue and this is a striking colour and different!
If I was to buy a V8S though it would have to be morning frost white.

be brave... go for a colour rather than a shade of black

You won't go wrong with any of those colours, but the key is probably whether you like to see the Carbon-fibre additions blend or contrast more (particularly at the rear). The lighter Tungsten will provide more of a contrast, the darker colours less so. I (as with the V12V bonnet vents) prefer them to blend as they create a more cohesive (less aftermarket!) look, but that's just a taste thing... best of luck smile
