I would like to hear from members experiences as to what reaction their beautiful AM have had on other people. Having owned plenty of tasty cars inc AMGs M3s M5s R8 spyder 5.2 etc I never experienced the amount of attraction the AM DBS creates. I have only owned the car two weeks and already have had 3 females and 2 males knock on the window wanting to know more about the car (shame about that thought wink. ) and so many drivers winding down their window when pulling up next to them on the road, it never fails to amaze and of course please me!!!!! A deranged motorcyclist pulled up beside me dismounted and walked around the car and gave me the big thumbs up lol it was a bit of a stig moment to be honest
!!!!

The interest this car stirs in the town and city is far more than any other car I have owned to date

I am sure other members also have funny stories to share????

Good isn't it laugh
In a roadster it's even better as you often hear comments you weren't meant to wink
Plus you get more exhaust noise smile

I was in homebase car park when I had my first vantage and a dad brought his son up (about 7 years old) and said "my son loves your car and wants to know where the machine guns pop up from". Obviously I showed him and let him start the car with the ecu. He left with a huge smile.

My Vanquish draws positive comment from across the social spectrum, young and old, male and female. I even had the Burberry wearing saxo driving element in jaw dropping awe at the lights, they turned the 500 watt noise machine down to hear the Vanq pull away.

I love it like no other car I have owned.

Driving becomes a event you feel special but I feel a touch embarrassed too.
On a negative I'm anal where I park it and its not really the type of car you take down to the shops.
All my opinion of course.smile

At a petrol station this week I was asked 'Is that a Bentley?' (It's a V12V) - my daughter was in the car with me and the look of horror on our faces when asked this smile

As our J Clarkson would say "there may be lots of faster Chav designed trainers that will beat the AM in a race but I will gladly stick to my pair of hand made brogues any day"

I've found it quite discrete compared to previous cars and I'm glad.
I had the 2nd or 3rd r8 to be delivered in the country and frankly it was ridiculous ,the car would get mobbed and people were constantly taking photos.i had at least 3 phone numbers left on pieces of paper under the windscreen wiper from women and there were a couple of women in the gym who started flirting quite outrageously with me .
I then got a gallardo Spyder which pretty much got the same reaction ,in one instance on the motorway at quite a high speed I had a white van behind me with the driver leaning out of the window trying to take a photo ,and I got asked for an autograph a few times by people thinking I was footballer or rock star.Interestingly less attention from women .
The DBS gets a great reaction but nothing like that, and I find it's the older women who tend to like it .

All 3 were loved on the road, always get let out immediately from side streets etc ,noticeable when I test drove a Porsche recently how long I had to wait to get out of a side street compared to the other cars.

Is that why you drive around towns about 3 or 4 times before continuing with the route? wink

Agree with that. Can't understand the 'convoy & park' thing for that reason, for me it would be toe curlingly embarrassing.

A convertible ?. Even more so.

Wonderful to look at, wonderful noise and 'good' to drive ...on your own at 6am through the black mountains.

But that's just me, and appear to be in the minority on here by some way wink

Ditto on occasion. I will say the DBS used to turn heads and produce a few waves, comments and smiles, the vanquish seems to have a much much greater reaction...

Fully appreciate what you and Robbo are saying yes

Probably 5k of my annual 6k in the DB9 are on my own, savouring the moment.

Every now and then I just enjoy the company of other owners, who I find I have a lot in common with smile

Each to his own , but I would be firmly in the 'or what ' camp.
