Well done, that's nicely put together, couple of things smile

What camera was used on the cars? I ask as I've just ordered a Go Pro HD Hero 3.

The other thing I'll mention, it may not interest you, have look at this software (http://twixtor.softpedia.com/), with a good source file you can use it to increase the FPS to a silly number and while it'll never be as effective using software as some £10,000 camera you can still get some amazing effects as in the example below:

I use a GoPro Hero 3 black edition on my bike, gives a really good picture: http://youtu.be/JCpJ6dS9OYM

The built in wifi is great too, can use my iPad or iPhone to control the camera. Makes it easy to position on the car/bike to make sure you have the view you want, and also much easier to change settings smile

What mount did you use for the GoPro? I have the suction cup one but am a bit nervous about using it at any sort of speed in case it fails.

Can you film a proper motorsport too next time smile

Thanks Laura and George.

G - Apparently the suction mount is rated to 150mph, of course if you go tumbling off it may end up elsewhere wink - nice video by the way, feeding my desire for a bike and to return to a track somewhat more.

Cheers, was going well (or I thought I was) yesterday, felt confident on the bike. Need to hang off it more though.

Think the head gasket is going though frown If that's the case it's going to be a tough call to get the engine tuned, and the suspension done (is it worth spending c. £4k on a £2.5k bike?). Was supposed to be at Cadwell Park tomorrow but don't think I'll be able to go now weeping

I guess only you can answer that, but for sts and giggles. I had an old £1k Rusty Prelude 2.2 VTEC. It had £700 coilovers on it, £400 of polybushes, £500 AEM bigbrakes and carbon pads, lightened flywheel, sparco seats and harnesses, a/c and abs removed.

It was the most fun I've ever had in a car on track and worth so much more than the sum of its parts.... so if the money will make it more fun for you.... Yes 100% smile

ps. Do you have an external mic on your GPH3?

No external mic, that was just the standard camera in the waterproof housing, aparently the non-waterproof housing gives better sound quality up to 100mph. Never tried it though.

I don't want my track day bike to be fun so to speak. I want it to be fast primarily. I'm probably not going to have anything done on it (apart from the head gasket), and I will spend more money on a full on race spec R6 or 675 for next year. Hoping to race in the NoLimits novice 600 and endurance class next year smile

Thanks for the info; I am thinking of getting an external mic and mounting it near the inlet manifold or maybe even running it near the exhaust somewhere (trial and error probably to minimise wind noise) - driving the Stelvio pass (defrost permitting) in about 10 weeks so it'd be pretty sweet to capture the AM on full chat.

In that case I guess fix her up, learn, learn and learn smile
