What a beautiful day, the sun is shining and I went into central London with my family and the DB9. Parked in Cavendish square car park, which I highly recommend. It has just had a refresh and the spaces have been made big enough for you to feel comfortable leaving your P&J there. There are always a couple of Lambo's and Ferrari"s there, usually under covers! Anyway, the pic below was taken there.

On the way home I went down Regent street, through Piccadilly, through Trafalgar square and then past Downing Street and then out through Chelsea back onto the M4. Despite having driven the vantage through London before I was really surprised at the response to the DB9. I have never had so many people take photos of my car before. One guy even ran down Regent street to get in front of me again to take another photograph when the lights stopped me. The passenger of the R8 behind me was also taking photographs!

Driving the DB9 through London was thoroughly enjoyable. Was tempted to do another circuit but the other half, who had enjoyed the drive gave me "That" look.

Hope you are all out in your P&Js today.

Best Regards

Josh

Beautiful day indeed.
Can I ask, why drive to a congested central London, rather than actually take it for a 'drive' ?. Regent st ????. Why ???.

It's days like today where you forgive London for all its faults (and 7 month winter) - it was just stunning.

I cycled all the way from East London along the Regents Canal this afternoon. As I was cycling around Regents Park, a guy drive past in black V8V Roadster, roof down, sunnies on. I thought to myself "what a beautiful car that is, and what a lucky chap he is".

And then I thought "I've GOT one of those, and it's in the bloody garage!". Followed quickly by "What the fk am I on my bike for???!". Call it a Lycra-Clad-Epiphany.

Sometimes I really do think I should sell it frown

Which is why I try and get myself on as many Astonautical drives as possible. I know deep down I'll be back in love with it after next weekend in Mid Wales. biggrin

I sure as hell won't be driving it tomorrow though - the Marathon goes past my house and the road is closed from 9am to 4pm eek

Stunning day down here in the southwest.

Went out for a blast along the old A38 with the hood down just for the hell of it.

I live up north with some fantastic roads right on my doorstep. However, I will never ever tire if driving roof down through the middle of London on a nice day, especially in the evening when the lights come on and the you get to see the city reflected in the Thames. By far one of the best ways to enjoy both the car and London for me!

Lol. Lots of people beaten me to it but to summarise. My beautiful wife wanted to visit tiffanys. Why go in the range rover when I have an Aston the family can fit into (mostly smile )? I used to be a sales rep in London many many years ago and know all roads really well so they hold no fear for me. Fabulous city to drive around if you avoid rush hour.

Best regards

Josh

Absolutely

Sun shining - check smile

Temp over 6C - check - actually nearer 14C biggrin

I have had my V12VR since November and today was the first time that there have been great conditions to take the beast out. So I decided to go and get some petrol. Ignored the closest stations and 30 miles later found some after an enthusiastic run along the Devon lanes. Top down, corsa tyres working well, sport button pressed, exhaust very noisy (who needs 5th and 6th gear) - just fantastic.

Exactly. Beats traffic lights, reflections , taxis , jams, fumes and 20mph. Day like today, get up, get out , thrash and get back.
Wonder how may of the people apparently gawping are thinking the above wink
