Hey up,
I've just picked up a new V8S with a manual gearbox from Grange Aston Martin, loving the car and definitely wanted the manual. However I literally cannot find any documentation or reviews out there about the S car with a manual box. Everything I've found states that it is available in sport shift only - apart from one limited edition Europe-only run of a car called an SP10, and I'm pretty certain I don't have one of those.

Does anyone have any info on the spec of my car? Is it a limited run for the UK, or just a rare example because most people want the sportshift?

Thanks

Congratulations on the manual V8S. I was talking to Martin at Grange a few days after you drove away in your car. I don't think the manual V8S option is a limited run. The SP10 is a limited run which is basically a manual V8S at around £15K less cost. It was supposed to be mainland Europe only but is now available in the UK.

As a manual fan the manual V8S is a great car.

And just for the sake of another thread running at the mo, didn't you consider an F Type, seeing that Jag are next door??

Nope, I think the F type looks ugly. Plus, isn't it only available in paddle shift? Part of me getting rid of the GTR - which was astonishing at A to B speed - was because I missed the manual gear change.

Good man smile

I think many people go from the Jag side to the Aston side at Grange but not many go back the other way.

Congratulations! Nice car! cool

Out of interest... Which gear knob are they using on this car?

Little stubby black one?
Shiny DBS/V12 one?
Or a new V8S Manual one?

No not the metal one from DBS - the standard looking leather one. Pretty sure it isn't a new design.

+1

The manual S/SP10 has to be the best V8 aston available.
