Hello all
I found this site quite by chance a week or so ago when searching the internet for tips on how to change the batteries in my DB9 tracker tags. I found a thread from last year with great instructions from peterr96 together with pictures, so thank you Peter! (His soldering skills are obviously better than mine, it took a lot longer than 5 mins per tag, and one of the casings is now slightly scorched, but they both work again.)
I've been an owner for just over a year, but it's been a rather lonely existence with few people I know appreciating the car and plenty of "mid-life crisis", "more money than sense" etc jibes. Great support from my wife when I first raised the subject: "You're thinking of spending how much? It's just a car, you know!" [Yup, and the Mona Lisa is just some old drawing?] The only sensible answer was to buy it without her knowledge while she was in Switzerland visiting her family.
She was more
Anyway, today was a beautiful day down here in Sussex, and I had it out in the sun for the first time in over four months. It has been languishing unused in my garage since a head on collision on New Year's eve (not my fault, and fortunately not my car, we were in my wife's Skoda Fabia) from which I am just recovering in time to enjoy the DB9 this summer.
Delighted to find a group of people who enjoy beautiful cars. I know pictures are obligatory, and so (with some trepidation as I suspect from comments I have read already the colours will not to everyone's taste) here goes...

Now that's a colour combo you don't see every day! Like that a lot.
Welcome to the mad house. Nothing stays on topic, tony will try and sell you something out of his boot, people will tell you to go to Bamford rose and hopefully you'll have a nice time.
If you need any advice in getting/keeping the car lookin it's best, let me know.

Welcome. And to save you scorching anything else in the future, are you aware that you can pair your tracker to your bluetooth 'phone? Saves having to bother with the tags.
I also can't see your photos. I think that dropbox have locked them out for some reason.
@LD, I applied it to Andrews db9 volante on the weekend and he said he'll be taking some pics and posting them up.
If the weather is kind, graham v12vr will be having it done on Friday, so he might post some pics up too.
To be fair, it doesn't give a real big difference to the look of car when it's applied, but get the car polished properly and it doesn't really matter.

I've applied Zymol concours to my V12 but understand that it's all in the prep. I'm pleased with the result, but I know it can be much better. Needs to be polished expertly - I have neither the talent nor the bottle. If the weather is kind, graham v12vr will be having it done on Friday, so he might post some pics up too.

It's a good job you were not in the Aston for the head on. Those seats would not look too good with blood red patches.I also stumbled on this forum by accident. I was looking for garage idea's and came across Molly and Rob's thread. All I can say is that I have never looked back. Met a great bunch of nutters, had some fantastic drives and some great nights out, Hic! So welcome and the more involved you get the more you will enjoy it.
Welcome! Great to see such a bold combo of colours on an Aston, not to everyone's taste, but who cares? It's your car and its an Aston
there are plenty of us in dull black / grey numbers to keep the numbers up
Get along to the Trinity meet next month and come and say hi to a few of us.
