Seb has asked me to start a thread about an upcoming trip that the French Aston Passion members are organising.

Two members, Erick and Xavier, are organising a weekend near Blois in the Loire valley. It will take place over the week end of the 13th-15th of September with cellar visits and good restaurants in gorgeous locations.

The chosen hotel is: http://www.domainehautsloire.com/fr/official-site....

Aston Passion already has six french cars booked and the thread is here:

http://aston-passion.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=27...

I have had an email exchange with Erick and he says he has pre-booked 7 rooms and 2 suites in the hotel but in September it is impossible to get special rates because it’s a very touristic area. There is a second hotel nearby that Erick has mentioned if these rooms all go.

If you would like to participate then please add you name to this thread and call the hotel to confirm your booking for your choice of room or suite and give your credit card number to secure the booking.

The plan is to arrive on Friday afternoon and to have dinner on site at the hotel. On the Saturday morning there will be a drive and visit to Amboise Castle followed by lunch and then a visit to a winery. Sunday morning will start with a drive and visit to Chaumont Castle and Erick is planning to prepare a special activity during the beginning of the afternoon.

I hope that Seb will monitor this thread so if you have any questions I am sure he will answer them here.

I would love to do this as well, unfortunately I'll be in Brazil on the dates mentioned. I hope its a great success and they decided to do it again.

Great trip but, unfortunately, bad timing frown

Like others we already have a trip booked (Stelvio and Lake Garda), but thanks for the "heads up".

I will break the mould and say I am interested.

Could you post some suggested tunnel crossing times (or Ferry is that is the plan to Le Harve or whatever) so we are all co-ordinated on the out and return. From the post I assume Friday am out Sunday PM back?

The suite is E4500 PER NIGHT! A basic room is E550 a night ... assume it is quite nice then!

Interested :-

The least expensive rooms that come up when you go through the booking process are suites in the carriage house at 550 EUR per night.

I think Erick got all the least expensive ones which is probably why the suites are the only option left. How do we secure a room that Erick has pre-booked or have they now been allocated?

Just phone the Hotel on Erick's behalf to book your rooms. A few of us already booked rooms but not the reserved ones.

M. Erick Chirat is his complete name.
