Hi,

Whilst I'm still in overspend mode (and before the shock of how much money I've spent lately hits) I'm considering getting the side-sill-kit for my 09MY DB9 (Jet Black). I like the aggressive look of some of the later models (I believe the sills are the same as the 11MY), but I don't want to spend money needlessly. Has anyone had the sills retrofitted by the likes of Nicholas Mee? Or even better, does anyone have any before/after pics?

I've got the rear light conversion and glass buttons, so I'm thinking this might be the 'last' thing that I get done.

Couldn't find anything via the slightly ropey site search.

Is there a side sill 'kit'?

DBS or Virage sills can be made to fit with some work, but not sure I'd call it a kit.

Have a sneaking suspicion that Vantage Collection started doing them though..?

No-one I know of has had them done. But I would yes

Here's a link to the Nicholas Mee kit, although it's actually an official AM part from their own accessories list rather than a 3rd party effort.

Hmm, I think that is way too subtle a change, barely notciable. I actually had to google pics of an MY11 and MY06 car to tell the difference!

If they were Virage sills then I'd be interested... And if you're calling Nick Mee's up about it, please let me know how you get on as I'd quite like a price for the Virage kit smile

You could essentially update your car to almost exactly matching the latest spec!
The engine and mechanical components are certainly ahead of the latest DB9.
A virage kit with a DBS bonnet (AND VIRAGE HEADLIGHTS!) ooooooooohhh!

Rapide S bumper, Vanquish lights, DBS rear wings and back end and Virage sills are the long term plan.

I've seen it announced on their Facebook page but it's not yet made it onto their website.
Here's a link to their Flikr page showing some pictures of the kit...

Looks good - they would have to be substantially cheaper than actual DBS sills though!

Though the fitting will be a straight swap, I think a bit of fiddling is required for the DBS to DB9 sills...

Are you confusing your DB9s with your V8Vs?

Yes, and this thread is about DB9s!

BTW, 'amv8's were made in the 1980s.
