Can anyone honestly say it was a good idea to only build 2? Perhaps that is all the time and resources would allow, but what a wasted opportunity.
565bhp 310quish engine in there, price tag over half a million and limited to 100 for the centenary. I think they would have sold them, the One-77 was a struggle as it was so ridiculously overpriced.
This is very, very wonderful and more like the Zag should have been

Apologies guys but I think it looks disgusting, brings nothing new to the table from what I read in the Times article, and I'm sure the development money could have been better spent in other areas
It'd mess up Karen's hair

If nothing else, it shows Aston can do 'something different' to the DB7/Ian Callum basic shape that has been around for a decade and a half now. That seems to be the most common criticism of the design language. Now that ends the argument that all Astons look the same with 'oh yeah, what about the CC100?'

I think they should have made more of them. How does 2 of anything celebrate a 'centenary'?

I love how the press now wrote this: "Underneath the carbonfibre-bodied CC100 is the latest version of Aston’s versatile and constantly evolving VH structure" after years of calling it the "aging VH structure" and saying that Aston needed to replace it to stay competitive.
P.S. I hope the CC100 isn't a sign that Aston is going to round taillights like so many other cars. They look stuck on rather than part of the design. I quite like the taillights on the DB9 and Vanq II.

Finally someone speaks sense

Beauty is evidently in the eye of the beholder, but that is fugly!
Total and utter waste of time and resources. Aston do not need a model to sell 2 of. They need to improve the bread and butter models.
I applaud AM for doing the CC100. It is of course only a concept, but in my view a breathtaking, "sit up and notice" bold step which is indicating where their designs are headed. Thank God they didn't just stop at the "centenary" editions they've released so far.
It would be great to think that a new model derived from this amazing design would follow, assuming the reaction to the CC100 turns iut to be as positive as it seems to have been so far.

Much better than the Zag. They could easily sell 100 of these at half a million to Aston aficionados. Aston should be making limited run cars of 100 or so on a regular basis. Scrap the Vantage and move decidedly upmarket.
At least the Zag gave us the comedic value of being the first car to look like a blow up doll. This has no such redeeming feature.drcarrera said:

love the switchgear !
Really? Looks like something I used to make as a kid with my home electronics set! For me, a bespoke carbon 'pod', current round buttons on the top row and old fashioned simple toggle switches below works really well in the context of this particular car
