Hi there !Been really enjoying the great banter here over the last two months!!I finally got my DB9 2005 delivered this past Monday and delighted with it(picture to follow!!)34000MILES in meteorite. We also have a David Brown tractor version on the farm as well !!As it was being driven up from England the abs light kept coming on then stay off for a while then the driver went over a few cats eyes and it has stayed on since.Does anyone know what the likely cause is and is there someone up in the North of Scotland that could fix it? Edinburgh the nearest main dealer 120 miles away but would prefer someone local to Aberdeen area if possible. Thanks in advance

Welcome.
Pictures of the car with the tractor are now required. smile
Meteorite is a great colour, but I am biased.
No idea on the ABS light, apart from pulling the fuse to try and reset it. Hopefully someone else will be along to help

Hi There,

There's a good crowd here, but as Neil says, pictures are required!

I don't recall hearing about many issues with the ABS light, though the tyre pressure system fault light tends to come on at random times, especially in France.

Check the ABS sensors, there is one in each hub. Make sure there are no bad / dirty connections, no damaged wires and no foreign bodies inside the hubs and around the sensors. They are normally quite easy to take out and clean / check. If you can work on tractors this should be an easy project for you. The main problem that without diagnostics it's hard to find the faulty one. When you are finished you might need a quick battery disconnect to clear any stored fault codes.

Congrats on the car....decent mileage for its age too yes

I have an uncle in Oldmeldrum area but he's an IFA so probably no use for the ABS. Did you buy it from a Dealer ?? smile

Thank you all!! Will try and work out how to get the pictures of both the tractor and DB9 on Neil !!Need to find the starting handle for the tractor first though.....no push button start there I am afraid !!
Will get my mechanic friend to check out the sensors as you suggested and hopefully he will find a problem.Did I read there is usually a broken wire on a wishbone somewhere ?
My mother was born very close to Oldmeldrum Jockman !!Your uncle will know my uncle Jack Sleigh for sure !!I am also in the motor trade selling Defenders so I gave a non franchise dealer a trade bid and sent a friend round to check it out .Merc garage in Lincolnshire. And before you ask fuse 22 is out !!

Poor Neil. That would be an unfortunate end.

Random fact - I went to school near there

OP welcome along
On the ABS it could be as simple as a sensors is knocked out of alignment from the hub

Ought to if it is just the sensor out of alignment.
I had this on a previous car.
