Righto ladies and gents, suggestions on how to get minor scratches off a DB9 roof where some numpty in the past has used a gritty sponge or rag. I have tried some finesse but I think I will still be rubbing next year. How about some sort of polishing mop on a drill or am I asking for trouble ???

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Artbox-piece-creative-colo... - There's gotta be one to match. smile

In all seriousness, I'm very interested in this as I've a couple of light scratches that I think will be persistent that I'd like to eradicate.

I love this stuff but it all depends on how deep your scratches are.

Never had much success with Scratch X frown
All depends on how deep they are
If they are through the lacquer cutting compounds & polishing machine will not work.

OP post a pic and have a look on detailingworld.co.uk

It depends on how deep they are really. If they are light, then the megs stuff by hand will work, but you probably will see where you've used it, as its a cutting polish. If they are deeper, then they might have to be sanded down and polished back up. It's almost impossible to suggest a course of action without seeing the defects in person.

If you were talking about swirls, then that would be easier.

Simple solution is to pay someone to detail they car and then just keep on top of it with good wash techniques.

Thanks everyone, the marks are not through the lacquer, so I will try to get rid by hand, thanks again.
