Glass key

Went in my pocket for my key and it was in two parts the top had come away.
Siliconed it on for now how common is this? Warranty???

Happened to me a couple if years ago. The dealer fixed with no quibble at all.

What's your problem? it works for now and I can use it and it hasn't damaged the paint.
