V8 Vantage Prodrive
Discussion
like any modified car, if you want a car with those mods then it might be worth more to you
I would value the suspension upgrade more than a 20bhp increase at high revs
Aston themselves released a power upgrade, suspension etc, so I guess demand dropped and ProDrive only ever did a handful hence them being rare

As the other guys have said they are quite rare, but there is usually the odd few selling at any given time, McGurk just sold a Toro Red one via Pistonheads classifieds and this one is on auto trader....... ( I'm not recommending this car just showing they are available)

In essence the power conversion is an ECU remap with higher rev limit, racing free flow cats and a switch for the exhaust as it can be VERY loud. Pro drive no longer sell the kit but it is a nice find on the used market, but it only cost £4k new fitted so isn't worth much of a premium on the used market, although a nice find. It was a professional conversion.
What made the Prodrive conversion different was they engineered the official Aston Martin racing cars so had an intimate knowledge of the cars and Dave Richards has a senior role in A.M., they also included a full warranty and it was also sold through some official dealers alongside Aston's own Powerkit, so it was seen as "semi-official"-ish!!
Of course you can now achieve the same sort of package from the likes of Bamford Rose, and this is another reason why you don't want pay a big premium for a used Prodrive car IMO. I'd get a price from Bamford and use this alongside other used 4.3 cars in comparison with any Prodrive car for sale.. if you want a modified car that is!

FWIW, that particular car has been for sale since at least Oct/Nov 2012 (when I was looking for my V8V).Hi,
I've just bought a Prodrived V8.. it has the remap/button for exhaust valves.. but rather then the prodrive other bits the guy who had it all done had H&R springs.. painted wheels and carbon splitter/diffuser from else where.
I love it.. but I did not go out looking for one it just caught my eye it sits different than the other V8's and with the carbon and darker wheels just gives it that extra droooooool factor.
Saying that I love the button... it didn't cost me anymore than a standard one it was just in/out of the showroom quickly as it stood out from the crowd I usually shy away from modded cars but this I fell in love with.
Not really helping your query but thought I'd say hello.

Welcome to the fold. Saw the pics of the car and looks nice!I've just bought a Prodrived V8.. it has the remap/button for exhaust valves.. but rather then the prodrive other bits the guy who had it all done had H&R springs.. painted wheels and carbon splitter/diffuser from else where.

Hate to be a party pooper though and say that's not a Prodrive Aston. Prodrives have had the engine remap which adds about 45bph. The button for the exhaust valve can be fitted by any AM dealer and isn't a Prodrive specific option.
It's kind of like saying you have an AMG Merc because it has AMG wheels......
Still a great looking car however, just pointing out why it won't have been priced differently as it's a standard Vantage. Hopefully the dealer didn't mislead you by calling it a Prodrive, as that would be disappointing

Hi
Sorry matey badly written reply it does have the prodrive upgrade on it the remap to 425 bhp receipted and page insert in the manual with specs. Remap with button done by prodrive the other bits were extras if that makes sense it was sent away to prodrive by the garage I bought it off in 2009 and the owner then had suspension and carbon goodies later. Price was inline with other V8Vs with same miles age which as with any mod doesn't really add value to a car just makes it more attractive to the buyer sometimes!
