V8 Vantage differences

Are there any differences between the first cars (05) through to the facelift 4.7 (around 08)?

The biggest change came with the 2007 MY cars. Different seats. The same seats are still used today. Plus little LEDs in the door handles.

But there are other little changes every year. You're better off buying Grants book.....

We all have bought the book, it's that useful.

In 2007 model year some changes include;
Dash lighting colour (HVAC), seat style, manual gearbox linkage, etc.
2008my, minor interior changes such as new armrest.
2009my, 4.7 engine, new style dashboard centre control panel, etc.

The book goes into much more detail.

When I bought my V8V a few years ago, I first looked at a couple of 05s and 06s. When I enquired about an 07 model year I immediately decided to pay the extra, and am very pleased I did.

I'd say the seat change is the biggest difference, the later cars using a seat better suited to the slightly larger backside! The later 4.3 cars also provided iPod/USB stick compatability (or at least my N400 did!) which wasn't on my previous MY06 car. Some other incidental changes on 4.3 cars relate to centre armrest console design, bigger Euro mirrors and the removal of the roof aerial.

Not as far as I'm aware

seat is a big choice
centre armrest - some dont like the later style
dash centre - again some prefer earlier style
electronic package got better as the years went on...from SIM card phone to bluetooth to full ipod integration

lots of other detail changes per year

The roof aerial was taken off for the 08MY prior to the 4.7's introduction (it was then in the windscreen) along with lots of other useful stuff like iPOD/USB (& audio wheel controls, etc, etc), but it's not just about the changes in standard spec, new and improved options came in each year... for example Satellite Radio was only introduced for the 08MY Stateside....

Nope most 4.3's are roof aerials and ALL 4.7 are screen AFAIK
and the mirror change came in on MY10 cars for the US market

Yes, I think MY08 cars have no roof aerial. My N400 doesn't.
