I'm being told that these are not currently available, yet I can see they are being offered as an optional extra on new DB9.2's for sale in the US,,,I assume the guards on offer there will be genuine AM parts.

Also, anyone know if the Virage stone guards would fit, I understand the DB9.2 body panels are identical other than the boot lid. confused

I can confirm that the 9.1 kit does not fit. I have one to send back. However i am in US right now and have asked local dealer to try for a couple of pairs for next week. Fingers crossed.

I spoke to AM in Orlando on Saturday. Parts guy out until tomorrow but sales bloke said he'd leave a message. If they can get some delivered to me in time ill order 3 or 4 sets and bung them in the case. Updates to follow tomorrow.

Hmm. That's my dealer. I'll be there in a few hours to drop off my V8V for some unexpected work. Derek Fisk is the service and parts manager and is a great guy.

I'm only interested in genuine AM stone guards,,,,HWM reassures me they are in the pipeline,,,I'll have to patient, not something I'm renowned for.

Bob,

I had HWM fit stone guards on the Roadster prior to handover which I've had a look at,they seem quite flexible.

I don't know if the profile is vastly different, you never know they might fit with a bit of fettling if all else fails...just a thought.

Maybe they could offer a set up to the .2 they currently have in the showroom,as I say just a thought.thumbup

I'm speaking to them today re c/fibre rear light infills (which I'm told are a standard shape/size), so I'll ask about the Roadster stone guards Ed, thanks. wink

When I bought my S there were no AM stone guards available to fit the V12V/S sill. I have the standard ones that fit the normal and N400 sills, they are not a 100% fit but good enough (two screws will not go in)
No idea if they will fit a DB9.2

I could have added that the ones from AM Orlando on Millennium Drive are a universal fit but thats probably far to deep

I wish Ed! My work (should I dare mention the dirty word) is a bit like arable farming, seasonal, difficult to impossible to escape at times. frown Any road up, have a great day/drive Ed.

I had those fitted to the V12V. The screws went in too and the gap between the guard and the sill is only 1-1.5 mm. Good enough not to notice and protect the paintwork.

Problem is that the flaring on the DB9.2 sill runs up to the back edge of the front wheel arch, forming a slight horizontal V. I'm waiting for HWM to call me back. coffee

Yes, that does look like only a custom fit guard will do. I presume that sill looks better in real life than in the pics smile

Ok AM Orlando just called back. Sure they can be specced on a new car order but do not yet appear in any accessory catalogues which they can access. Yes it was Derek and he was polite and thorough.

I look forward to the day when you can decide that for your self Simon. Will you be at Snetterton on the 28th September?
