aftermarket (or well priced) db9 volante replacement top

Just wondering if there is ANY aftermarket supplier of for the soft top on a db9 volante; I know scuderia parts char about £2.4k (ex VAT), was rather hoping for somehting better priced....

I saw in a post @Yeti mentioned an aftermarket top, but I can't find one...

Hmm, not sure it was me... I was thinking about a new top for my DB7 and found some chaps in Cardiff back in the day, but haven't priced anything up for the DB9...

TBH £2.4k is pretty reasonable, it's a lot of work!

its £2.4K for the top, not fitted... probably fit myself- i've done a boxster before; looks easier.

Its really an insurance job (roof not looking great, had some stuff thrown on it...) but am wondering how true the 'protected" no claim bonus is... so may wait until after i renew in october.. so theres no "surprise" price hike to my renewal premium. That being said, if there was a reasonable aftermarket roof, i'd not bother with the insurance.

You sometimes see secondhand ones come up on eBay, usually go for around £400 or so. Might also be worth trying the Polish guy on the sport pack wheels thread as he has some volante parts for sale.

yeah, the polish guy is good- bought DBS wheels from him- VERY happy. No 2nd hand roof anywhere at moment.. guess will have to wait and see..

My tops looking a bit long in the tooth. Some issues with the rear window separating from the top in the center. 2009 DB9. Has anyone replaced their own? Is the inner liner separate from the outer or is it all one piece?

I also purchased some sports pack wheels from him .....very happy
