I waved at someone driving between Chester and Nantwich on Sunday, returning from CarFest. Didn't wave back.

On the waving subect, I have realised that Caterham and Lotus owners wave at Morgans, which is nice smile And Morgans wave at Astons, all in all, it's been a good summer for waqving generally!

If you see another Morgan whilst Mogging, it's usually polite to stop and chat yes

Waving must be easier for Volante and Roadster owners.

By the time my window has opened, the other Aston Martin has usually gone.
I use headlights sometimes, but that is not the best way to send a greeting.

Seems waving is no longer the done thing, I blame 'non enthusiasts' getting Astons. Even at Le Mans this year I would say its 1 in 4....and there was loads there this year... Sad times..

Whilst away this week we encountered 2 fellow Aston owners, the first we crossed paths with twice near Ipswich and although the Wife and I both
waved and were clearly seen the response was nil.......although the driver did glance over before roaring off at wharp factor 7 in an attempt to show
off we felt at one set of lights.sperm

The second was a fleeting pass and wave to a Silver DB7 owner who reciprocated enthusiastically giving hope for all tossers gone before.

A friendly wave never did anyone any harm and it brings camaraderie and the feel good factor to fellow owners, christ come on you none wavers lighten up and give a wave
you never know it might brighten up your oh so serious lets race here lets race there world.....chill.byebye

Indeed yes. It's piss-poor really. When I had a Lotus Esprit, every other Lotus on the road (any model) would always wave and flash. The same would happen when I had a Noble (but that was a rare event).

I've waved at a few AMs and got nothing. Mind you, I did flash a Jag my mistake a few weeks ago - no doubt he thought I was a bit of a cock !

It's odd because I'm also a biker and absolubtly everybody lets on, quick nod. Still gives me goose bumps some times not sure why I think it's just every single one lets in and it doesn't matter what bike your riding your in in for the fun.

Bikers arnt normally up their own backside though Taylor. As a (ex) biker myself I know exactly what you mean. From the clouds of smoke and rattles of a Norton, everybody waved back, right through to the days of my Honda VFR. I rarely see an Aston where I live in the north east, the times I have, no waves.

I say ex biker, I still have it but don't ride it now as the vulnerability aspect has overcome the fun aspect of them. I just heard last night a mate of mine has come off his Yamaha and is in ICU with ruptured spleen, damaged back and other internal injuries.

Love bikes but no longer a valid choice for me personally. Stay safe smile
