Had my V8VS a few weeks - see SP10 thread for pics - but already the above light and check tyres message has come up couple of times - each time no issue as pressures at end of short journey are higher than when started. I appreciate the transponders are sensitive to weather perhaps ( wet , colder ) but do they all do this and is just one if the new delights of ownership ? Fwiw various Porsches have never given a false message.

Just wait until we get the Merc technology in there. We'll be ok as well.

My old Vanquish has the system and I've never had any problem(it's probably not working)!

My Vanquish also has the same system and i've never had an issue thus far BUT my parents were in the V12V on the Isle of Man at the weekend and the light flashed up. Dad checked the pressures manually and all were fine. Presumably just a false alarm. What was an issue though was the lack of instruction in the manual about the TPMS as AM thought they would be fitting a more modern system to the car so produced the handbooks on that basis. In the end they fitted the same one they had used for years and the handbook was never changed. This means my parents had a wee flashing light for the rest of their trip as the TPMS light remained on!

On the old system yes
On new system nono

Only had TPMS messages from my S when it has been really cold and the tyre pressure has been genuinely low
Had plenty of false ones out of my old roadster on the old system.
Check the tyre pressure first wink then get it to a dealer smile

Mikey , what does the psi have to drop by before it triggers a warning - any idea ? - I only say that as put it away with tyres at say 33 f - 36 r and at 6 this am it started at 29 - 31 and by the time I had done 10 miles was showing 32 - 35 - they were still as round ( ! ) and this time when the warning light came on and I pressed read it then went off after moving off hence the thought of a glitch as opposed to a problem - I know I shouldnt compare it to my GT3 which has never triggered a false alarm although that only comes out when the sun shines anyway.

Mine triggers at anything below 30!
So 29 would do it wink
Tyre pressures should be done cold as they significantly increase once the tyre is warmed up.
My fronts come up to 38psig and the rears 41psig when warm.
