Very nice indeed. I quite like the red they do for the F type.
Looks good....sounds good.....better technology......
Mmmmm, sounds like a visit to the Jag showrooms is looming.

Am I alone in thinking that side by side the aston is the one you would choose. Makes the jag look cheap somehow

Circa 1998 I had a BRG XKR Cab. The lines were pure and sexy.

Sadly this can no longer be said of Jaguar......a real pity. Where did this muscle car look come from.

Aston however..............

i am a muscle fan so personally i like the look of the jag. even the latest astons look very dated as it has all been done years ago with the DB9. why say it all again. groundhog day. the jag looks like no other jag so fair play to them.
only problem is in 5 years time it will just be a jag........

Cracking car the F-Type no doubt.

Seeing them side by side, I'd have the DB9 every time yes

Side profile of the Jag is much too tall for its length, making the car look somewhat of a caricature. Aston is so much better looking. Too bad that Jaguar has lost the recipe for sports cars (their saloons are spot on. however). And their blatant copy of the Aston door handle is a little too much..

Oh, but don't forget their's are motorized and solid as opposed to a paddle. rolleyes

They're not solid -- they're open on the bottom. And they stick out unless the doors are locked -- it's supposed to be a "welcome" but it doesn't look right IMO -- it looks like the handle is stuck open. It is clearly a blatant copy of the AM handle aesthetically. And the upper bonnet vents look like an Aston's. And the "waterfall" center stack. And the side vents in the front wings...

I thought it was useful to post a picture of them side by side , and almost the same colour as a comparison. Will be interesting to see what the coupe looks like when it comes out...

I'm really not a fan of the front of the F Type. It looks too squashed and tall, and the big gaping intakes aren't very aesthetically pleasing. The back looks ok but I still wouldn't even consider swapping an Aston for one.

No doubt the F-Type is a great car and will do well......but it just doesn't do it for me .....its too juvenile.....apart from the number plate were assume your purporting to be James Bond, your DB9 looks a whole lot better than the Castle Bromwich upstart

It would be good to see one side by side with a Vantage too. I asked in another thread what people thought of the road presence of the F Type after I had seen one in the metal for the first time. Somebody asked what 'road presence' is - I think this photo answers the question. The Jag just looks like its trying too hard and not really succeeding next to the Aston.

I think that f type look is aimed at the US.....imagine it'll sell extremely well over there.

I have to wear my Daniel Craig mask when having "relationships" with my wife so don't see why you shouldn't wear yours !! Have always loved the DB9 in black.....it just looks so flipping good......enjoy your car in the full knowledge that it looks 100% better than your pals very nice (if you like pumped up Jags on steroids)Jag

Can't decide which I prefer on the backside of a black AM, clear or red lenses. scratchchin
