Hi

I thought I would post since I have driven the car from a week now (and yet I have under 40 smile) and I thought I would give my views.

Interior
The leather surround and the smell is what you expect in such a car and it does not disappoint. Clearly it is crafted and designed and to sit in it is an occasion.

The start
The crystal key is still an event to start it up and the sound......Starting it takes a bit of getting use it and the handbrake (this required a call to the dealer and a bit of fiddling) but if the lights on the dash go off you are good to go!

The drive
In a word nice. You do not realise how big the car is when you drive it and it fits in the lanes when they are doing work so not too bad. You have power when you need it and it is easy to drive, like any auto should be and even in slow traffic it is good to just lift the accelerator when needed. There is a bit of a kick in 1st gear but that just needs smoother gear changes. I have to be honest a lot of the time I have my IPod on (which it does have) and with the B&O sound it really does make a difference (although I wont not pay extra for it I can understand that if you like you music you should have it). As you are cocooned (I have the coupe) you don't really hear much that goes on outside which is great as it just means you can drive. Do i miss the convertible? Well when it is sunny a little bit but it is so rare here (usually the rain clouds come in very quickly) that I realised i don't get must use of it so now not really and the aircon is nice, although I do miss the dual function.

The boot
It is small. It takes my weekly shopping but only a matter of time before I used the rear seats (let's face it when you drive it you can't really fit passengers there!) especially when there is something big e.g. dog food.

Parking
Easy to park, just need to remember to put foot on the brake and hit R, other than that it is just the accelerator and the brake.

Telephone & Bluetooth
It is okay and you can have a conversation, you just need to remember not to not talk over the person, which can happen, especially if you have a lot to say smile I also found the car links to my iphone5 no problem, just have to make sure you enter the right code once then it should recognise it.

Oil
The manual recommends Mobil 1 0W-40 and you can get this for £30 for 5l.

Tracking
Due to a problem with the Eurowatch system I have Cobra Tracking on my car. It is good. I even get a phonecall if I have left the tracker in the car without the key (which i have done!). I recommend making sure you can always take the tags and the car key with you, and keep it away from your phone as that brings a phonecall as well!

I always keep it garaged so I don't know how the elements hurt it, but I have to say black attracts dirt, even dust! The grille and front does attract the road, depending on where you drive, but that is the same with a lot of sports car, especially if they are low.

I recommend the leather pouch if you have the glass key and if you drop it try and have something soft around it. Failing that the plastic key is okay, the sense of occasion with the glass key though is hard to replicate.

I am currently looking at trickle chargers for impending winters and ski holidays. There seem to be two options, but if anyone has any idea I would be grateful.

Any other thoughts as to things to get that people that would be good.

Well that is my thoughts so far.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Neil and congrats once again on your new beast... but this thread NEEDS photos of your black beauty wink

With regards to what to treat yourself to next (after the trickle charger) - how about a smart car cover to keep the dust off the black paint smile

The CTEK MXS 5.0 battery charger does the job well, is by the same company who do the AM branded ones yet is several times cheaper!

That is interesting snipez999. How do you add it with the 3point plug as the ones I have seen cone with the link to the battery directly? I presume you use the cigarette lighter the other end? Grant: I have done pics already on my previous thread smile

Get a CTEK Charger If you have the three pin socket in the boot you will need a XLR Connector .
