Does anyone know if it's possible to set the car to start with 'Sport' on, rather than it defaulting to 'off'?

Sorry mate but had to laugh at this. Is it really that difficult to reach all the way across to that button (the gear stick is further away)??!!

You would soon want to default to off when it was wet or cold, or if you lent it to TonyV12V yes

I drive in off mode when warming up and then switch once warm, if starting from warm I do the complicated task of 'pressing the button' Now if you could default DSC to track mode or off, that would help biggrin

I asked Paul, the responsible at AML for the V12V development and he said "no"

I've just got into the habit of pushing the sport button when ever I get into the car.

I know! It is a bit lazy, oops! I do find myself sometimes forgetting to press it though!

It would also be nice to have windows close on lock of car, but that's not possible either... Possibly EU legality issues, dogs n kids etc left in cars maybe?

Good idea re: warning up in standard mode though John, will prob do similar smile

I thought I read somewhere that you could set the Sport Mode to be On at start up from the infotainment screen on newer models.

Oi... I resemble that remark biggrinpunch

as Mikey says its easy to forget to turn it back ON when you stop/start
Le frog will confirm that he had to tell me to hit the sport button a few times on the clique tour to JLC when the car was seeming to be lacking in the MTFU department driving

This is just software. I saw somewhere here that the new DB9 or Vanquish has an option to keep Sport mode on by default. Surely a software upgrade could handle that for cars that have Sport mode and be applied at service time.

Yup my DB9.2 has said OBC feature. Certainly helps the neighbours set their clocks in the morning :-)

If you want the sound permanently you can just open the valves permanently - its a 2 min job.

Pearl has a default setting whereby she will stay in Sport Mode. Not a clue how to operate it though. It is mentioned in the handbook. When I eventually get the car back I will have a look and spill the beans.

My MY2008 V8V starts up automatically in Sport mode, and when I first got it, it would start up in Comfort. So I think I changed it while fiddling about with the car settings in the infotainment screen one night!
