OK.. I sourced a nice Jag XF key Fob (Thanks Rich) with the intention of transferring the electronics from the current AM fob in to the body of the better looking XF housing. In doing so, when trying to close the two halves back together I snapped off a little protruding component that slots down the side of the battery. (This happens if you don't match the electronics up perfectly).
So, Now it obviously doesn't work so no point putting the circuit board back in to the original AM housing.
Would a main dealer be able to programme the XF key fob to work on my DB9 or am I down to one original key fob and a redundant XK fob?

Post a picture up of what you have snapped, and where it connects. Need to know if its replaceable / does it just need re-soldering etc.
^^^ Do this ^^^If it looks fixable, and you or it can get to Sunday service, I'll try and fix it for you, I can take my soldering iron and a few tools etc.

I note that Aston Bits are selling new ones for £125 but I still have the Jag XF one which I would like to know if a dealer can program that one instead of me buying a spare from Aston Bits.
