Newish owner saying hi!

Hi All
Been around a while but for some reason I've never quite got around to posting!
Had my 2007 V8 for about 6 months and love it.
Came from a 997S and glad I made the change.
I'm a member of the SCD club and managed to get away to some great events this year - highlights being the Cholmondeley pageant of power & Carfest North, being part of the parade laps at Oulton Park will stay with me for a long long time!
Few pics...

Looking at getting the wheels painted in gunmetal, to hide the constant brake dust if nothing else!
Thinking of a number of other tweaks but we'll see how it goes over the winter. It is a second car but I find myself using it most days!
Unfortunately I don't think the clutch has much life left in it so funds may be pushed across for that.
I live in York and I've been using JCT Aston in Leeds for bits and pieces - anyone know of a reputable specialist near me??
Its got full dealer service history so I may keep it within the network for its next service that's due in January.
Anyway, glad I finally got to say hello!

Hi Matt,
Welcome. I think we spoke at CFN, I was hanging around the tent when you arrived. Get your name down for some run outs, they're great fun and a superb way of meeting fellow nutters, although being a member of the SCD club you'll be used to that sort of thing!

While Bamford Rose are fitting your new twin plate clutch ask them to fit their lightweight flywheel as well .The difference is amazing!
Thanks both, unfortunately they're miles from York hence me looking for a specialist a little closer.I will look into it though.

I once called them to get a quote on a service but they wanted to charge more than jct in Leeds and they didn't seem willing to move on price. Not saying anything negative but just shopping around. Jct come and collect the car on covered transporter all in the cost which is very convenient Anyone dealt with these guys?...

Good memory JM ! Yes it was me, they are an official AM service centre so same status as a main dealer (just don't sell knew cars). Their pricing was much less than main dealer and their service was first class too. They too collect the car in a covered trailer if you wish, although seeing all the classic cars they have is worth the drive IMHO. Also allow use of own oil, without wishing to open that can of worms on here again!

Used them for a warranty paint job ( on the grounds they restore classic AM cars so staff are skilled at what they do) and for servicing car. Plus side is on first time use you get a voucher for a meal at nearby posh resteraunt so OP could make a day of it. (NB I say posh as somebody coming from the north east of England, where fish and chips in The Times is considered being above yourself, as opposed to what the southerners on here are used to
