For those that watch Top gear you might remember in the last series they did a feture that extolled some of the great roads that could be found within forty miles of London, this inspired me this weekend to see if I too could find these same roads. Attached are a few pictures of the best roads I could find. I must point out at this point that any similarity to various locations and landmarks in the pictures that resemble locations within the Scotish highlands are purely coincidental wink

Lovely set of pictures David, must be great to have that scenery with those roads on your doorstep.
I just wish that 'Hertfordshire' wasn't so far away from Bucks where I live smashcrybiggrin .

OK, so photos 9 & 10 - a cheeky little comparison there ..... smile

Nice photos. Think some locations look familiar scratchchin I think a Scottish tour is pretty much compulsory if you are going to get out and about and enjoy your car properly!

Now, have you thought about changing your PH name to something more in keeping with your lovely car!?

Actually this was really easy, I managed to get a lat and long grid reference for the location and one of the options available for Moaning Myrtle (my pet name for the Aston sat nav) is the ability to enter a grid ref and surprisingly it took us to the exact location.

Lovely car.. Reminds me of my 56 plate Tungsten 4.3. I think the lines of the original sills still look the best.

For anyone interested in such a trip next May, then here's a thread for a Scottish Trip.
