Why would you need an engine test cell?

Err, only for new engine builds Steve. No one will fit an exhaust mod and remove the engine to test it in the Engine cell.

Only proper way to test BHP though, no arguments over GB losses.

I've had a look at this in the metal and for engine tuning and testing its a fantastic bit of kit.

Great for development work for new parts like manifolds / cams / intakes etc etc.

You can just bolt things on and off, change to different items and run it up and see the difference. Test and Re-Test very quickly.

Also great for the race team they run as they can tune several engines ready to just bolt in to a race car when needed.

Lets see how the components they are making result in additional power wink

Hopefully lots of torque and bhp
