I'd buy one in a heartbeat in the unlikely event I could afford one.

It is of similar design to the cars that one sees almost every week, featured in the Sunday Times motoring section, and of which nothing is ever heard of again.

When the current Aston Martins already have 50:50 weight distribution, why have a mid-engine car and no luggage space, to achieve a 50:50 weight distibution?

I like the GT40 type shape though.

Looks like a cross between a 458 and a 12C, with an Aston grill wedged on the front smile not necessarily in a bad way though!

It's a bit of a departure from Aston's GT designs, but if they can sell a few it's all good.

As I said on the other thread concerning this car recently, it's a concept designed for visual appeal rather than being a fully thought out vehicle. The side strakes are clearly just decorative as they open into the door! I dislike anything that performs no function. Additionally, considering the designed intends this as a mid-engine layout there is no provision for breathing or cooling to the middle of the car. Pretty but ill conceived IMO.

I think that it is also worth pointing out (for the benefit of some readers) that this is not an 'approved' Aston Martin project. It has just been done by an individual on a CAD program.

Can't see they'd build such a thing; with hindsight the One-77 was rather a good idea, a front engined hyper-GT. Unfrtunately the execution was poor in some areas; a GT without any sort of boot is just stupid.

With this, it rolls straight into P1/918/LaF/Huayra territory where it would be utterly mulllered in every way by companies that kwow what they're doing.

Hopefully they'll do what they should have done instead of the Zagato/One-77; build somehing that sits in the middle; a Hyper-Vanquish I suppose.

Take the 7.3 from the One-77, the 7-speed gearbox from the V12VS (or the 8spd auto ZF from the F-Type) and have Zagato's coachbuilders put it on a 310quish chassis. Charge half a million plus, limit to XXX et voila smile >That's< the ultimate GT car yes
