First time for me so I would be grateful for any tips from the old stagers! Can't find much Aston wise on the website except the Jim Clark memorial stuff. Is there anything planned? Is there a parking spot where Aston owners go? confused

I'll be going in the Morgan.

If you haven't got a pre-73 car or are a GRRC member then it's general parking for you. Your Aston gets you no special treatment. Should it? biglaugh

Biggest tip; get there early or you'll queue for hours. We'll be there and eating breakfast by 8am just in time for the first air displays of the day.

Get a programme and plan where you'll be for the races you want to see. Walk as much of the track as you can, so many places to see racing, don't spend it all at the pit straight!

And please do dress up in period gear; chinos, tie and jacket is good enough with a flat cap if you've nothing else. Those who don't make the effort are hugely in a minority and look very silly smile

Ok thanks. Got period racing overalls, goggles and helmet. Wife's been making a 50s dress for months!

That's my biggest tip. 'The more you put in, the more you get out etc etc'.

It will be too late now (because they are all sold out) but grandstand tickets are always worth buying.

I'll be there on the Sunday, and probably the Saturday as well.

Oh, a modern Aston won't get any preferential parking what so ever. But I'm sure that it you turn up in a DB4/5/6, you'll be ushered up to the front.

Turn up in an absolute shed of a tax free car and you'll be ushered to the front. Them's the rules.
