Are you tempted? Warning: do not drive it unless you intend to buy one.

I drove a quantum silver V12V over the weekend and holy moley... why didn't anyone tell me?

I liked the quantum silver but my heart says black or lightning silver... only thing is that the uplift in price between that one in quantum silver and one in either the black or lightning silver is currently at £10K and £8K respectively for same/similar spec, age and mileage!!

Question is, how much more would you pay for a car because it was in the "right" colour scratchchin

I really should not have even sat in the bloody thing... this is painful!!!

It should be a good one.

Inspected by Gordon, with his beady eye. Talk about fussy.

Well, there are frequent comments on here, 'if you drive, you will buy'.

If you are buying a 'keeper', then lots.
Otherwise, not much.

How long have you had your v8, sure you told me on sunday but it has slipped my mind. There are a few lurkers
on here with V8's thinking about the jump, me included. FWIW unless a car comes up with your perfect colour/spec just sit on your hands for a few months, we're only in autumn at the moment.

As far as whether its worth paying more for that perfect car, it depends on how long you're going to keep it.
A year or two, no, longer than that, probably, going on yes.

Are you saying quantum cars are cheaper??? I find that hard to believe as I thought Quantum was a special order cost option... Could be wrong.

Obviously my car is quantum so I don't want anyone talking down prices lol biggrin

I think this one would definitely be a keeper... there's really no other car out there right now that I want or that gives me that warm feeling in the front of my pants like a V12V... except maybe an Aventador!!

Hey Jeff. You're absolutely right, it only makes sense to wait until next year but... that car in the first post is on sale now confused

I have had the V8 for a year now and by gosh I love it, I really really do but the amount of time that I spend scouring the classifieds for a V12V is turning into a bit of an obsession - I think I may have a problem!

Not at all. It's just that the cheaper options I'm finding at the moment are in quantum silver (and tungsten) ... but all of a sudden, there's also two in Magma Red up for sale in the low 70s - funny how Grange posted that they thought their's was the only magma red V12V and then Stratstone put another up a few days later blah

If that is your ideal spec then go have a look, no harm done, you don't have to have it. If something isn't to your liking then walk away, there will be another. There are cars coming on at main dealers starting with a 6 now, albeit with higher miles, so if you can be patient, it may pay off.

Fortunately I found a Mako beast, 1 of only 7 in the UK. I paid a high price for getting my perfect colour and spec car, so job's a gud'n!

Magma red is also a very rare UK colour so if you like it don't hang around!!!
