Redstuff Brake pads
Discussion
Have read mixed reviews about these but i am going to give them a try seeing as my wheels are away for refurb and i can get easy access to change them myself...
Got all 4 corners for just under £223 delivered so a good price...Have OEM pads in just now which squeal a bit at slow speeds and are getting a bit low. I am also getting a lot of brake dust on my wheels, so i thought id give redstuff a try at that price..
Incase anyone is interested i ordered them from Brakes4u and got an extra 10% off with this discount code tradeclub2605 which i found online!!

As above. Have used them on all my cars including my two Aston's and wouldn't use anything else now.
No dust, great performance, silent as night and cheap.
Word of warning however; the bedding in period is horrific on them.... It will sound nothing short of horrible and will last a couple of hundred miles. A few nights in a row of motorway bedding in and you will be much better however. Keep with it - it's worth the short term pain.

Yes totally agree, it takes a good few hundred miles to get them bedded in, but during that time the noise is unbearable, But once bedded in they are silent and very little dust.
Only problem I found was you could not fit the wear sensors on the rears, not major, but just be aware.

I wonder if that's changed as looking at the pad outline for the Redstuff they do appear to have the cutouts for the wear sensors on front and rear? But once bedded in they are silent and very little dust.

Thanks for the advice re: bedding in.
I looked at the porterfield ones as well and could've got them for around the same price from the states as I work alongside some US guys who could've brought me out a set. On the UK site there is a 7 day delivery wait. Redstuff ones are readily available so I figured I'd give them a try.
I believe they changed the design so you can fit the sensors to the rear. Will see when they arrive. Not that bothered as I would never wait until the sensor indicated before swapping them anyway. Always like to keep a good eye on brakes etc..

The Redstuff pads used to be too hard and would cause excessive disc wear, however, they have now been reformulated and seem to be a better road pad than the Greenstuff "roadpad"!!
I am using them on my 4.8iS BMW X5 and can thoroughly recommend them. I had no issues with noise bedding them in, although I have not noticed any significant decrease in brake dust. They also work at low temperature, so no nasty surprises when they are cold. I would certainly try them on the DB9 when pads are required.

Did you get around to fitting these to your Aston yet? If so, what do you think?I looked at the porterfield ones as well and could've got them for around the same price from the states as I work alongside some US guys who could've brought me out a set. Yes I fitted them around 3 weeks ago and have about 400 miles on them now.
They came with all the cut outs for the sensors front and rear.
As mentioned above they screech like hell when first fitted but have calmed down a lot with more miles on them.
Bite is just as good as OEM.
So far can't fault them for the money.
Still getting an occasional screech at low speeds but it is definitely improving the more I use them.
Dust on the wheels also seems to be somewhat reduced. Not dust free but a considerably less amount.
