Pearl has now munched her way through her rear tyres in 6000 miles. The standard fit Potenzas have never given me any cause for concern in wet or dry conditions. In fact the level of grip is quite outstanding. Should I consider another make bearing in mind the fronts appear to have plenty of life left in them?

Michelin Supersports are a better performing tyre which are, generally, highly recommended. A search on here will bring up lots of positive reviews.

As long as you change in axle pairs, you will be fine with Bridgstones on the front and Michelins on the rear (until the front pair wear out). If you are really pushing on, you might feel that the car is slightly more 'understeery'.

Corsas Rob. Get the widowmakers biggrin

Unbelievable grip but of course weather sensitive. Given your love of driving adventures and Pearl's new found performance they'd be a superb summer tyre. Get two more rear Bridgestones for the winter season.

Pearl deserves a sticky tyre.

This. Just put Pilot Super Sports on the front. Very nice tire indeed. Still have Continental Extreme DW on the rear because there were no Michelins in Sport Pack sizes when they needed replaced. Now that they are almost worn, they will be getting replaced by Super Sports as well.

I'll be going to PSS's on Johnny on Bamford Roses recommendation and their popularity on a few other RWD "sporty" cars
