Does anyone know of any options for better brake pads for the V8V S (fronts are larger 6 piston calipers and rears are the same)?

I have Pagid RD29's for the track, though they are too aggressive and noisy for the road and the stock pads are a bit weedy.

I went for Porterfield R4-S pads after a recommendation on here from KarlFranz. I can also recommend them and they create a lot less brake dust due to be made out of carbon kevlar (apparently!)

The UK supplier is here: http://porterfieldbrakes.co.uk/

That is a great pad, I'm a big fan of them too. I don't think that they currently have a pad that will fit the front on a V8VS. The rears, yes but the front not so far.

Would also recommend EBC Redstuff (if they do suitable sizes for the S). They're the same material (carbon/kevlar) so brake dust is massively reduced. Some people complain they take some time to bed in but the design was changed recently and I didn't have any bedding in issues. Used them on my Cayman and few other cars, will be what I switch my Vantage to when they need changing again.

I have just gone through research for the S brake pads and ordered some from Girodisc which they are custom making for me. I have them on my Gallardo also and love them for their no dust, no squeal properties. I also spoke with Porterfield and Carbotech that I got a lot of good recommendations on and they both were willing to custom make a set for me as well. Someone on 6speedonline forum recently sent their S pads in to one of those companies, Carbotech I believe, so they should have a pattern after that.

EBC Redstuff is available for the V8V S, front and back for cast iron discs only (not ceramic) they emailed me the part numbers whichI have on my office PC . I'll post them on here tomorrow.

I am changing mine as the dust from the OEM Pagids is extreme .

Hi Martyn,

Slightly OT but by changing the pads do you think it likely as in my case that it might stop the squealing ?.
