Good driving roads, Morthern Spain / Western France

We're off on the boat to Santander on Friday, then staying around Rioja for a bit, San Sebastián, then Medoc and Loire.

I know that certain people here have an encyclopedic knowledge of amazing roads, so is there anything we should look to do?

Breaking it up into driving days, and drinking days can't drive past all those vineyards

Agreed. Plod seems to be very active and very sneaky over here at present. Probably an attempt to help prop up the French economy with fines. Be careful and remember detectors are illegal and frowned on, even if it's just on your Tom Tom.

I will, but I seem to hold this deep fascination for them. Will try my best to avoid another French Good Driving Award, the press coverage is flattering, but the paperwork quite tedious
