Wheel alignment.....

We assume you touched the kerb rather hard!
Looking at that you'd think so eh??..... Reality though was that it was an extremely light glancing kiss, hardly anything at all really...
Although the operator had to adjust almost everything to bring it back into spec, his adjustments were very minor... Less than a half a turn on all adjusters...
Definitely tell the difference though
Had mine done at Supertyres in Welwyn when I had the V8V. They got every reading pretty much spot on to the factory specification.
Interested in getting it done on the V12V. Is the factory spec the same for V8 and V12 I wonder. I assume Supertyres would know since they knew the V8V spec.
More importantly, does it feel significantly different to drive?

Seemon don't waste your money on the basis your top speed thus far is 127mph Interested in getting it done on the V12V. Is the factory spec the same for V8 and V12 I wonder. I assume Supertyres would know since they knew the V8V spec.

All I can say is you're all knobs, apart from Molly who is lovely
VERY harsh.... but surprisingly accurate
NB You may find that a factory V12V will in fact go quicker than 127 down the Mile Straight today - even if it is wet! ENJOY

The operator said that although the readings were all in the red, appart from the tracking, which I tweaked on the kerb, the rest of the settings were pretty much down to nothing more than wear and tear....
I'm always intrigued by this. Are we to believe that our suspension and steering system is made of cheese? Unless something is bent or worn out I cannot fathom how the tracking can have changed.
As a point of interest, I'd love for you to take your car back in and get them to demonstrate that the same settings that they introduced are still evident.
My suspicion is that the settings are not reproducible, whether that be down to wheels that are generally not true, technician incompetence, inconsistant damper settling, inconsistant vehicle loading or whatever I do not know. Whatever it makes little sense to me!

I had this done on my car shortly after buying it and it was astonishing the difference it made.
I went to a place recommended by mikeyk.
Now why don't you go and get yourself a beer and calm down

Much appreciated.

wasn't that far outI've banged on about this before
One of the best VFM jobs you can do on a sports car.
Get it right and it transforms the car as well getting more miles out of the tyres
Even Jockman noticed it when he was on that exact ramp earlier in the year

IME it's worth doing it each time you change tyres.

As for the rest of it if you actually look at the numbers you'll see that we're talking fractions of a degree here and there....
In fact I was rather pleased it was as close as it was, I suspect this is the reason, I can't tell much difference.... Due to it being ok before hand.... Apart from tracking of course

Left castor before -0.39.... Tolerance -0.25 to -0.35.... So hardly anything..
Same with front right toe..actual 0.07, tolerance 0.02 to 0.06 so 0.01 out.....
The reality is that on my 7 year old car, the suspension has settled a little, the bushes have worn a bit and nothing is new anymore...
As for getting the results to be repeatable, I'd suggest its almost impossible..... I had half a tank of fuel and nothing in the boot when the adjustments were made...
What do you think a full tank, a boot full of clobber, and a driver and passenger will do to the settings....??
My guess would be to put most of them back into the red again
