Need the collective opinion. Two Vantage roadsters both 4.7, both the same price. Both the ideal colour. One 09 plate 5500 miles perfect spec through a dealer of high spec cars but not a main dealer. The other Aug 2010 12500 miles but lacking heated seats and the premium audio, this car from a main dealer. Really wonder which one is best.

Grant would know the answer but I wonder if a 10my is better than a 09 my. Main dealer warranty is it better than a none main dealer one??

09 one if it has a full AM service history. I'd want arse warming capabilities in a roadster. + it has premium audio and less miles.....

Buy neither.

I would wait a few more weeks until December for perhaps a 60 plater which will have dropped to its theoretical lowest price of the year, walk into an extremely quiet dealers and grab a bargain.

And you definitely need heated seats in a cab or you will take a bath upon resale.....

This makes sense. Do you really think the prices will drop over the next two months. Waiting is not a problem for me I have been waiting a year already

When I bought my roadster a few years ago the price dropped £8k between September and December. I'd sit tight for now.

A very strange option to omit when specifying a Roadster.

8k drop wow that is worth waiting for. To be honest I was working on a Xmas purchase and then you see a car and think it is perfect but I guess there will be many more. Besides which I have only just started to insulate the garage.

Never had Astons but have always bought one to two year old cab 911s and m3s in November and December, run them until the following summer without loss. The nearer to New Year you can leave it, the better deal you will get.

Don't forget the Aston is a seasonal car, especially the cab, and a two year old example could shed around £8k between now and the end of the year as demand drops......

Hi Darren, Personally I would want a Roadster with heated seats and Premium Audio. The 010MY added an upgrade to the aircon unit and new useful auto-lock/powerfold settings which could be changed vis the infotainment system rather than the dealer, plus an increased spec(HIDS, Powerfold etc) etc, but they wouldn't make up for premium and heated seats IMO as the non- franchise car probably has HIdS etc if it's the one I think.
I agree with the other guys about mid-winter pricing, but this relies on dealers being stuck with the stock and wanting to trade, most try and avoid this so there is usually less choice of soft top style cars around so it is something of a gamble.... although clearly it can pay off. Alternatively negotiate hard now if the car is right for you, you may pay a tad more but if it's your ideal spec wink If the one you are looking at outside the network has 5 in the name then although I can't vouch for that particular car they have a good reputation. Don't forget if you have any concerns you can always get it checked out by a main dealer as part of the deal. PM me if you want to chat further. Best of luck smile

Thanks Grant and yes you are correct about the actual car I am talking about. Good to know the dealer is well thought of. Always nice to get every ones perspective on here
