Can't pour gas in tank
Discussion
Hi,
I have a 2005 DB9 that comes from the US (I don't know if it has its importance in the issue I am going to explain or not), and whenever I stop for gas I have to pour it in very slowly, like the tank can only "absorb" very little quantity at a time.
It takes for ages to fully fill the tank!!!
Has anyone had the same issue?
Thanks a lot!

Known issue. Sadly, as a British car, the Aston Martin only accepts petrol, rather than gas.
Once you have told it that it is petrol, and tried wiggling the spout in different directions (i.e.pointing up,left or right, rather than down) then it might be worth looking in the filler neck to see how far down the little flap is. From an admittedly brief drive around in California, are your pump spouts not somewhat short and stubby?

Haha I'll try and change the word to her ears, might make the car more willing to swallow petrol.Once you have told it that it is petrol, and tried wiggling the spout in different directions (i.e.pointing up,left or right, rather than down) then it might be worth looking in the filler neck to see how far down the little flap is. I do not live in California nor the US, I live in France, I just bought the car from there.
The diameter of the pumps spouts shouldn't be an issue at all, even if the tank was made for stubby ones it wouldn't take hours to fill the tank. Mine takes about 12 minutes to fill in...
So yes it might have something to do with the flap, or something that blocks petrol to come in.
Hello,
Took my 2005 DB9 to France this year and had the same problem as you.
I think those French pumps are a triffle sudden in their delivery or perhaps have strange nozzels
No problems in the UK, which is nice, coz we all have to put plenty in don't we !
Now here's the thing , why oh why are the French roads so fantastically well constructed and well maintained, a joy to use, and English roads so very very bad and full of holes.
