Exhaust Replacement - Bumper removal?
Discussion
My V8 exhaust was replaced without the need to remove the bumper. My V12 did have the bumper removed (different installers used for each)
How much of that was down to different designs betwween the cars and how much the installers preference I don't know, but the bumper removal on my V12V was done by an Aston dealership and the other by a Porsche specialist.....I think IIRC there are design differences which required the V12 one to be removed but I'm far from certain

V8 Vantage here and replaced the rear box without bumper removal.
Most awkward part for me was clearing the 2 hangers directly at the top as they're quite long.
Abit of a twist and lowering the box at an angle though just cleared it.
Having the aftermarket rear diffuser probably caused the difficulty as the diffuser scoops under the car more compared to standard, limiting the space for the rear box to drop.

sounds angry! The two hangers have 10mm headed bolts, a little fiddly but use a long extension.
Take note of the way they fit, Ive seen them refitted the wrong way.
Much easier and safer to remove and refit the rubber mount to the new exhaust on the floor rather than attempt to lever it off in situ.
Also helps to slacken / remove the rubber mounts on the rear subframe.

Out of interest chaps... What is the approximate cost of upgrading to a Quicksilver supersport exhaust box?
