Been reading many a varied and enlightening number of threads since changing from 911 to my first AM a couple of months ago - Absolutely love the Vantage 4.7 and whereas I've really liked other cars I can honestly say the Vantage is the only car that actually makes me get up really early just because I cant wait to drive it.

The pic is of the car when picking it up and seriously enjoying both driving and detailing it.

Will post a couple more pics and look forward to chatting / joining in the banter here

Thanks sukh m smile

When I went for the test drive they said oh its probably a bit louder than you imagined and having read about fuse 22 on here before buying a Vantage I said the the sales guy that if fuse 22 is removed already then dont even think about putting it back. That sound is amazing and did not even bother with the 700w stereo

Congrats and welcome to the AM forum. Banter you say confused Surely you jest, I think abuse is closer hehe

Some tips for you.

1) Take no mechanical tips from Jockman
2) Take no driving tips from Me
3) Don't try and outlist Ed nono
4) Do ask Pilote AM where all of the European speed traps are yes He has been stopped at most of them hehe
5) Do ask Mikey K about the Gaydon Loop
6) Don't ask Woollie about Sparkly FFS.
7) Don't ask Nick about his interior rolleyes
8) Don't ask RobGT about BR or Chris, he will ramble for hours yes
9) If someone called Avinalarf comments on anything, remember he is avinalarf.
10) Please try not to take anything too seriously. Many do wink

There are many tips for you, but then I would be like RobGT and ramble on for hours yes Oh one more thing, Lotto Tony won the Euromillions, nice bloke who owns the half of Norfolk that the Queen doesn't biggrin. I think he likes to keep it quiet, so please don't embarrass him by mentioning it nono

The stereo is good too but I know what you mean smile

I'd still check the fuse is removed though just in case......

Congrats. Lovely car. Even though I've now graduated to 12 pistons I do still love those 8 cylinder beauties. What colour is it? I found the guys at Brentwood really helpful with my 2 purchases. Enjoy smile

Thanks Lime and yes LBS I went for the well trodden path of (wait for it) Meteorite Silver biggrin
Have to say the guys at Grange Brentwood were really a pleasure to deal with (sales contact I dealt with was Matt)as I was asking a barrage of questions (some probably too newbie and some less so and nothing was a problem). Fully acknowledge that they were trying to sell a car but cant fault the service on the sale.
I'm a real saddo / advocate of car detailing so busily investing in yet more waxes and polishes to fill the shelves at home and awaiting delivery of some chemical guys products so once I've given that a try will update. pics are as delivered so good base line to start from

Tony, I hate you. And your money. Now stop bullying me and get back to admiring the OPs beautiful car. Wifey doesn't want a DS3 anyway, wants 5 doors. I'm sure you could buy her something nice for me out of the funds stuffed under the mattress.....git.

Don't forget that there are some drinking meets coming up too, where you can get to yawn at cockers face when he mentions SPA for the 117th time that lunch

Given that you're in the south east, you should definitely attend at least one of them.
