I thought I would start a post on things that we have learnt touring in Europe this year thereby passing said information to others contemplating having a go in 2014.

Make sure that you have a Sanef tag for the toll booths in France.
If you are staying in the Alps boiled eggs need 8 minutes. Water boils at a lower temperature.
Don't follow Woolders because he has a scant disregard for French speed limits

speaking in an ''allo allo'' style accent doesnt help get you off speeding tickets smile

You can get 18 days of stuff in a Vantage roadster
Take sun cream - roadster sun burn is not a good look!
Aim for 250 mile/day unless you a mile munching

You need to MTFU, or purchase girly tyres.

If you've not been already, it's worth paying a visit/pilgrimage to the old F1 track just outside Reims:

If you're feeling peckish, head into the village of Gueux were you will find the Bistro du Circuit. Along with the old photos of the old races on the walls, the food is lovely.

Oh, the Sanef tag is a godsend. Easily the best thing for hassle free travel across French autoroutes.

If you stop in Beaune in August and use Tripadvisor to find the top rated restaurants to eat in, ignore No 1 +2 on the list.

They close for their holidays. It will save you aimlessly walking around the town.

Did somebody mention Reims?

It was very wet the day we were there:

Oh Neil - I've never seen you look so macho hehe

Knowing your friends on the forum (and their collective dubious sense of humour) are you sure it was wise to post a photo of yourself in a leather onesey? eek ... & under a sign that says 'sickli'
