Time to get some winters boots on her...

Fronts I have from a previous car

Rear Tyres - Standard are 295 30 20. I have 285 35 20 also at the back of the garage, will these work on the dbs or cause issues?

Maybe...

It's quite a bit taller (an inch in diameter) and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of room under the rear arch since DBS tires do a good kob of filling them up. At least offer up the unmounted tire to the wheel arch and see how that looks.

Well these went on at the weekend.

Done about 250 miles and there doesnt seem to be any adverse effects.

Just to confirm...

You mounted 285/35s in the back, correct? If so, that's good to know, since I'd like to move to a taller tire in the back (and the front) when the time comes to change.

Yes that's correct 285/35 on the rear

If you fit tyres of a different profile to original on the NP Vanquish it upsets the traction control system.

As long as the F-to-R ratio is the same then the absolute diameters shouldn't matter, should it? AFAIK, traction control is based on sensing rear wheel speed vs front wheel speed, and if the rear is too much higher than the front, traction control comes into play.

Surely with an inch extra diameter it is going to upset the speedometer and odometer as well as traction control? 1" extra is 5% inaccuracy isn't it?

I'm currently running 295/35/19 on the rear and when I compare the SatNav to the Speedo, its smack on 100% right, I'm not sure if Aston want the speedo to read 3% faster than you are going (like most manufacturers), but the increased circumference seems to make the speedo smack on correct. smile

Thats not me comparing the speedo and SatNav for a couple of minutes, thats continious use over many miles. driving

As stated above by Mav, most speedos are way optimistic (on purpose, I'm sure), so a bigger tire just about corrects things. My DB7 reads 10% high, so a 5% bigger tire (which I ma in the process of doing) is a step in the right direction.
