So we went for a nice drive and lunch out yesterday, photos attached. Still trying to get the Boss to frame a picture right. So you will notice the sloping sea in the background and part of P&J's bum got missed. Still, she does take a nice photo. These shots taken close to Fisterra, Galicia (Lands End in Galician) in an area called the "Costa da Morte" coast of death; named for the many shipwrecks along this coast line. Some great drives BTW.

So what were we thinking? We debated and came to the conclusion that there is no collective noun for a group of Aston Martin's. We have flocks, shoals, herds and pods, even a murder of crows, but what does one call a group of Aston Martin's?

Knowing some of the members of this forum, I would suggest a 'rabble'

Rabble - Not enough class, much like the members of this forum it would seem.

Trouser - Not sure of the thinking with this one.

Bankers Bonus - Bankers (with possible exceptions - just a bit of CYA) are an unsophisticated group so this is more applicable to a group of Porsche's.

Pride - sorry but Simba beat you to that one.

Dealership - got a ring to it, but does not rally hit the spot.

My suggestion - a Bamford.

Not sure about the term for a collection of Aston Martins but I have trade marked the term Astonauts for a bunch of Aston drivers biggrin

It depends what they are doing.

Parked up, it could be a symphony
Carving through the countryside, a rampage
Or, for the keen spotters out there, easily confused with symphony, would be a disappointment - when thy all breakdown. The AA van in close proximity to the group is one clue on this one biggrin.

The term has been in use for sometime now as can be seen from this forum quote from July 2012:

"After their driving adventure through Herefordshire and into the Brecon Beacons the Astonauts arrive at The Gliffaes to refresh themselves for the homeward journey (with afternoon tea on the terrace lick)

Meanwhile, sometime later, Tony (& Jamie) manage to round up the car at the back of the pack (Jockman):

Apparently Yeti lays claim to earlier use of the term 'Astonaut' (hi Lewis - glad you are still checking up on us wavey)- but can he prove it? scratchchin
