I noticed fuse 22 was missing from my V8V after picking it up from the dealer. I put the fuse back in and the vacuum pump ran continuously. Dropped it back in for them to sort out and it was a simple case of reconnecting the vac hoses.
Why would you remove the vac hoses & fuse, rather than just pull the fuse?

Is this a knock knock joke?

I don't know, why would you remove the vac hoses & fuse, rather than just pull the fuse? laugh

Perhaps the previous owner of your car, tightened his trouser waistband with a belt, and then put on his braces.

Anyway, simple cure and you can now enjoy your car.
Change up when the red light comes on, but don't try that on the top three gears.

It just seemed like a lot of effort with no advantage.
I couldn't think of a reason, doesn't mean there isn't one so I thought I'd ask in case I'm missing something.

...and those gear changes above 5k rpm are lovely!!
