Nearside rear light has failed & now I've noticed front offside has also failed. This has happened together. Is there a common fuse ? Can't see any fuse allocated in the handbook or w/shop manual for either!!! Any ideas please. Seems a mighty coincidence that both have failed together. Has anyone repaired rear lights as there are hex screws on the rear of the unit. Also how the f=== do you get the connector of the rear light! Can't see which bit comes of & tugging has currently achieved nothing!

Pretty sure if rear has failed front won't work either. Connector comes off by pulling out the red tab about 8mm, you might need to lever it gently on each side of the red tab with a screwdriver or something.

Rear lights are only repairable if you are good at electronics and a soldering iron

Thanks for the replys. The power of the web ---again.Just come back from Colchester this AM!!! Have a R&D electronics step son ---has anyone done a write up? Really odd diagonally opposite lights fail.Noticed sat nav (for what its worth!) also goes to blank screen after a couple of mins as well.& i thought it was only LOTUS that used to have dodgy electrics( I'm also a Lotus owner! of many years)

Never seen a write up on repairs. Usually failure is caused by water ingress, so could be any component, but good if you've got am electronics wizz in the family.

There is the odd electrical gremlin on Astons, but on the lights its nearly always water / condensation issues.

My 07 V8V suffered a similar problem. Near side rear lamp failed through condensation and impacted offside front. Fortunately Stratstone managed to persuade AM to replace both at their cost. Happy owner smile
