The wind really got up yesterday and a neighbours "recycling" crate got picked up and launched at my car. Crate smashed to pieces and a relatively small dent in my drivers side door. Not happy! I think a dent expert should be able to push it out, job for the spring frown

That's a PITA frown But still, the crate was utterly destroyed by your car - so tough old door!

Bummer for youfrown If you'd posted this in The lounge you would be receiving advice to hammer some frozen sausages into your neighbours lawn as a revenge. Here, you just get sympathy - if it was mine I'd feel a little bit of me had died!

Similar thing happened to me a few years ago when a wheelie bin hit the driver's door of my SLK. One piece of advice I got was to fix it sooner rather than later: apparently easier to "push out" when recent than when old. Not sure whether this is true, but might be worth getting it done now rather than in the Spring. Just to reassure you, they did a great job.

Sorry mate, that is indeed a real bummer,,,,I'd be mortified if it had happened to my p&j,,,,I certainly wouldn't be capable of looking at the dent in the door until next spring,,,boy what a looooong winter that'd be.

Horrible thing to have happened. If it was me I would get it done ASAP . You will keep noticing the damage then drop further into despair. You will secretly plan retaliatory action against your neighbour the result of which could see you residing in jail. frown

Steady on Robert, time for a little lie down perhaps, you're hyperventilating again. hehe

Yes, the dent is already winding me up every time I go near the car. Everyone else wonders what I am talking about and I'm getting the usual "you can hardly see it" comments as if I am just moaning about nothing. Calling someone on Monday to come and sort it! wink

Simon...do get it done right away. I was told by a dent guy that it's the paint that 'settles' into the dented shape and is more difficult to get back the longer it's left.
