Erm, what about the water/flood damage (which includes the driver seat not working)?

If the engine ingested water, then the buyer could bid for the V12 that Works have for sale.

I am to car maintenance tools what chocolate cake is to Bombay duck but I feel the urge to bid on it. It would be dumb for me to buy something like this wouldn't it?

If its flooded, then it could be Hydro-lock, if its hydro-lock, then its pretty simple to rebuild the engine, waaaay cheaper than buying a 61 plate Virage, but its all according what it goes for..... smile

You are VERY right, I would guess you could easily break into 5 figures replacing ECU's everywhere, the problem is that it might take a year (or more) to go wrong electronically

yes
It will only take a bit of moisture in one connector to fry something or make it go haywire
I had an issue with the driver seat loom shorting between connects on my last roadster, that caused all sorts of weird stuff! (Including stopping the tracker sending certain types of alarms!)
I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole however cheap it goes for!

I'm with you Mikey,,,seeing it parked in the drive when first getting it home would be the pinnacle moment, ever after the worry would set in and the 'pleasure level' of ownership suffer,,,not what owning an Aston Martin is about really,,,IMHumbleO.
